The UX elective was tasked with creating an interactive spec-home experience for Google Nest. For this project, Google partnered with Lowe's to showcase Google Nest's products in a spec-home. This multi-touchpoint project required creating a campaign and a business-facing dashboard to monitor the campaign's key performance metrics.
Create an interactive campaign for Google and Lowe's to showcase products at the Google Nest spec-home.
Create a dashboard for Lowe's and Google Nest to monitor the campaign.
The research identified the requirements and deliverables for business-facing components of the dashboard and its users. In tandem, I researched the customer-facing assets and empathized with the audience of the campaign.
I created storyboards to distinguish the needs of users from Google and Lowe's. The project had a two-month turnaround, so each student was assigned a focus for the internal dashboard to wireframe and prototype. My focus was to wireframe and prototype the director's dashboard experience for the Google Nest campaign directors.
The storyboards helped me research and identify what metrics provided the most value for different users based on their employment position with Lowe's and Google Nest.
The users of Google Nest are marketing directors and product designers.
The users of Lowe's are business executives, district managers, and store managers.
